Stockbooks
Probably the most popular type of stamp album. Stockbooks have fixed glassine strips behind which you can place your stamps. Stockbooks come with white or black pages and are flexible for displaying your collection since stamps can easily be moved around as your collection changes and grows. Stockbooks consist of several pages of heavyweight card stock bound between a cover and have glassine paper interleaving between each page to protect facing pages of stamps from one another. The number of pages usually range from 8 to 64. Stockbook sizes range mostly from A6 to A4.

Stocksheets
Stocksheets are loose leaf pages with strips and so are even more flexible than stockbooks. Stocksheets come in different strip sizes from 1 to 8 allowing you to select a size which fits the stamps you want to display. If you prefer loose leaf then Stockcards are available without hole punches. Stocksheets are typically made from card with plastic strips and hole punched to fit 2, 3 or 4 hole binders. Popular stocksheets include Hagner, Lighthouse Vario and Prinz-system. As a guide, Hagner stock sheets are comprised of Neutral ph card stock, Mylar film (polyester film or plastic sheet) and a chemically inert, permanently elastic synthetic glue which will not damage stamps.
